The Most Wonderful Friend

Author: Wu Yee Lam
Class: 2C

Basic Information

I have a good friend. She is Emily. I think she is the most wonderful friend. She was born on September 16, 2004. Now, she is a 15-year-old girl. She was born in Jiangmen and went to school in Hong Kong.

Early Childhood

There are four people in her family. They are her father, her mother, her sister and her. Although her family is very rich, her family members still love each other. When she was a child, she lived with her mother and her sister. The reason is her father worked in the USA for many years. They could only meet each other in the new year, so they treasured the time. Even though it was a very short time, they could still enjoy themselves. Her father would give her sister, mother, and her big surprises when he came back.

Teenager

She had achieved the top of the class last year. She won the MVP of her basketball team when she was ten years old. She also got the Most Improved Award last year, because she was not very good before, but in the new year she was very successful through her hard work. I was proud of her in that moment. Do you want to know why she got those achievements? In her free time, she usually reads newspaper. She will take notes when she is in class. I think these habits are quite important.

Hobbies, Personality, Interests Future Plan

Emily has a lot of hobbies, such as reading, studying, playing basketball and so on. In my opinion, she is a friendly, helpful and careful girl. Being a math teacher is her dream because she thinks math is not very difficult, but use can’t be careless and must be very patient. Playing basketball is her hobby. She plays every Sunday with me. She studies very hard and she likes reading. She reads a book before going to sleep every night. Why does she do it? It is because she believes it can increase her knowledge and improve her memory.

Something important that she said

I remember that once my grades were bad, she told me, ‘Nothing is impossible.’ I felt very doubtful at that time, because I couldn’t understand what she meant. Later, she told me about her own experience and then encouraged me to continue my efforts. I worked hard everyday after that. I eventually made a great improvement. I was very happy and I thanked her. She was also very excited for my success. Now, do you know why I admire her?
